I tell this story in the substack, but I genuinely used to have a band called 'Boring Oregon'. This was genuinely on the short list of places I was ABSOLUTELY going to come on this trip.

I mean... the sign is cool? The rest of the city is basically an assemblage of strip malls around an intersection. Now that I got the picture, I think I'm good with ol' Boring.
