Man, if you ever get a chance to drive Route 2 from Spokane to Seattle (or vice versa) just, you know, DO THAT. It's one of the most incredible stretches of road in the United States... or that I've seen so far.

The northern desert is pretty spectacular on it's own; it's these deep ochre-orange feilds dotted with these immense rocks; not quite like anywhere I've ever seen. I remember being astounded by how beautiful it was, however. And, of course, always ahead: The Mountains... and beyond those?
